We are delighted to share the plans for our new state of the art playground for the children of St Brigid’s.
It will include:
- Soft Safety Surfacing
- Trampoline
- Seesaw and Spinners
- Multiplay Equipment Unit
- Playground Swings
- Interactive Play Panels
In St Brigid’s PS we strive to ensure our children have access to the highest quality facilities and resources. This new playground development will be an excellent addition to our school grounds providing an innovative and inclusive area to meet the needs of all our pupils.

This week P2/3 have been busy experiencing a wide range of practical learning activities. Have a look at some of the outdoor clocks we made to work on 1 hour before/1 hour after. We planted some of our Grow Bag seeds that were gifted from Down High School in our gardening area. We used numicon to make doubles in the classroom. We also became budding artists and painted our own versions of Vincent Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers'.🎨 🖌 Plus we had a fun tug of war in our PE session with Graham. 💪 💪

Red and Black day at St Brigid’s 🟥⬛️
All the children were sporting their red and black colours to support the senior men, as they face Armagh in the Semi-final of the Ulster Championship.

🐷🐔 Early Years had the best time at the farm! We loved seeing all the animals we have been learning about! We especially loved getting to meet the puppies! 🐷🐔

It has been a busy week of netball for our P7 girls.
🥇 Congratulations to todays P7 team who were overall winners at Down Netball Club Annual Tournament🥇
The girls displayed excellent skills, solid teamwork and perseverance to come away with the win!

P6 Harland and Wolff Adobe Express Posters
Primary 6 have launched right into their Titanic topic, by researching Harland and Wolff, a local shipbuilding company, who built the Titanic. They used Adobe Express to exhibit their learning, managing the information found from their research and developing their team-working skills and communication. They certainly showed some creativity when creating their posters. Have a look at some of their wonderful digital posters.

🐴🐑🐔🐖 P1N Trip to Streamvale 🐖🐔🐑🐴
Today we had the most amazing trip to Streamvale Farm with the rest of the P1 children. We got to see horses, sheep, chickens, peacocks, pigs, deer and so much more! We had a go at milking cows 🐄! Then we saw rabbits, guinea pigs, goats and donkeys. The highlight though was getting a chance to pet the chicks and baby rabbits 🐰! A wonderful trip out and happy smiles all round

P1S had a amazing time exploring Streamvale Farm today. We got to see and feed lots of animals. The children got to enjoy a tractor ride and learn lots of facts about the animals that live there. We had a fabulous time on the Farm.
