The P7 children have settled back into routine and have enjoyed lots of practical learning in Numeracy. We are exploring large numbers up to millions. We made our own abacus to read, record and understand the place value of each digit. We then used our abacus to test our problem solving skills! With 2 or 3 Cheerios, we working out all the possibilities of the numbers we could make on our abacus. We shared our ways of recording this to ensure we would get every possible outcome.
We were delighted to test our teamwork and memory skills with Izak 9; realising the importance of delegating tasks, breaking tasks down and working together to achieve a successful outcome!
