P6/7 were given a list of items to measure and had to decide upon the most appropriate equipment to measure with and the most appropriate units of measurement.
After making good estimates, we used rulers, measuring tapes and trundle wheels to accurately measure a range of outdoor equipment around our school.

❤️🌍Celebrations for World Heart Day🌍❤️
Today in St Brigid’s we wore red to celebrate those in our community who suffer with heart conditions. In all classes we celebrated by completing crafts, learning more about how our bodies and particularly how our hearts work and why they are so important. The whole school was also inspired to hear Eloise’s and Amelia-Rose’s stories during assembly. All funds that were raised today will be donated to a Northern Irish charity, ‘Children’s Heartbeat Trust’.

Today we celebrated National Teaching Assistants Day with a whole school assembly presenting each of our classroom assistants with a little gift to recognise their dedication and commitment to the children in our school.
We are blessed to have a fantastic team. Thank you classroom assistants!

Primary Five enjoyed taking part in an experiment to show how our hearts pump blood around the body. They used a balloon for the heart and straws to represent the veins and arteries. ❤️👩🏼🔬🧑🏽🔬
