Music is an integral part of the education provision in St Brigid’s.

Our pupils enjoy a rich and varied range of musical experiences. Children from P4 to P7 can join the school choir or P3-7 pupils can choose to learn an instrument such as trumpet, clarinet, flute, violin, guitar or piano with support from our visiting specialist tutors. Pupils from P1 to P7 may also take part in iRock band lessons, where they can learn electric guitar, keyboard, voice or drums.

Our youngest learners love participating in the annual Christmas concert, giving them an early and enjoyable introduction to performing. Each year, our P6 and P7 pupils also take part in a school show, giving them another exciting opportunity to develop their performance skills.

Throughout the year, children have many opportunities to showcase their developing talents at school Masses, assemblies, weekly Music lessons, concerts and community events. Through these wide ranging music making experiences, pupils grow in confidence, develop strong teamwork skills and discover the joy of music in a fun and meaningful way.
