Safeguarding
Safeguarding at St Brigid’s Primary School.
At St Brigid’s Primary School, we recognise that happy children are the best learners and so we aim to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment.
We have a dedicated team of adults who work in our school to help ensure all our children are safe. Our Safeguarding Team is made up of members of staff, the Principal and Governors.
The safeguarding Team work to promote a safeguarding ethos and culture in our school ensuring that policies and procedures are robust and well understood by all.
The team also works with external agencies to best support the children and families in our school. They provide effective safeguarding that will:
Promote the welfare for the child/young person.
Prevent harm occurring through early identification of risk and appropriate, timely intervention; and
Protect children and young people from harm when it is required.
Children may speak with any adult if they have any worries or concerns.
Operation Encompass at St Brigid’s
St Brigid’s is an Operation Encompass School.
Operation Encompass is an early intervention partnership between the Police and School. It is aimed at supporting children who are victims of domestic violence. Through Operation Encompass we work together to support and protect vulnerable children.
