Meet our Eco-Council 😁

These Eco-Warriors will help Miss White and Miss Bogues to make sure our school is full of children who appreciate the natural world and act responsibly towards the environment.

No we have elected a new team, who will be meeting once a month to discuss topics surrounding making our school a more Eco-friendly place. We will be promoting the importance of reduce, recycle, and reusing, going on litter picks in our local area, taking part in Eco workshops and educating the other students in our school about topics such as horticulture and saving electricity.

Active Travel:

This year, our school is excited to place a strong focus on Active Travel, encouraging students to walk, cycle, or scoot to school wherever possible. In correlation with Sustrans, the charity dedicated to making it easier for people to walk and cycle, we aim to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality around our school, and help our pupils enjoy the many health and wellbeing benefits of Active Travel. We are also keen to get a new cycle parking facility for our school. Throughout the year, we’ll be running fun initiatives, and challenges to inspire our pupils and families to make active journeys a regular part of their routines. By choosing Active Travel, we’re helping to create a safer, healthier community for everyone.
